The Foundations + Running (Bundle A) equips professionals with the the foundational concepts and reasoning to apply across a variety of populations from basic functional needs to high intensity athletics.
Foundations (Modules 1-7) is intended to be an introduction to concept basics, evidence and foundational approach applied to targeted exercise to provide a depth of understanding to apply concepts broadly across a variety of populations. A focus on learning how to cue the teamwork between diaphragm and pelvic floor as a dynamic foundation for movement (Modules 2-4). Concept application to a volunteer runner with hip pain in targeted exercise (Module 5-7).
Treating and Training the Female Runner (of Any Female Athlete) builds on Part One foundational concepts and presents assessment, treatment strategies and clinical reasoning for direct interventions with Runners and Athletes. Learn to break down fitness, and build it back up to return women to their fitness of choice at any level!
The two courses in this bundle are subcontracted to Redefine Health Education and have been approved for 15 (Foundations Modules 1-7) and 16 (Treating and Training the Female Runner) CEUs. Julie Wiebe, PT, DPT has over twenty-five years of clinical experience in Sports Medicine and Pelvic Health, specializing in abdominopelvic, pregnancy and postpartum health for fit and athletic populations. Her passion is to return active patients to fitness and sport after injury and pregnancy and equip professionals to do the same. She has pioneered an integrative approach to promote pelvic health in and through movement and fitness. These strategies have been successfully incorporated by medical providers, rehab practitioners and fitness professionals into a variety of populations (ortho/sports medicine, pelvic health, neurology, and pediatrics).
A published author, Dr. Wiebe is a sought after speaker to provide continuing education and lectures internationally at clinics, academic institutions, conferences and professional organizations. She provides direct care to fit and athletic populations through telehealth and her clinical practice. Recently, Dr. Wiebe joined the faculty of the University of Michigan-Flint, a welcomed opportunity to pursue both her educational and research goals to promote optimized care in clinical practice across the continuum.
